Ed has have been a photographer for over 40 years and a traditional black and white darkroom printer for over 35 years. Though he has never been formally trained in photography he has studied the images of some of the great black and white photographers of out time.
Ed photographs simply because the object in front of the lens begs to be photographed. It might be because of past memories, capturing a moment in time, recording a pleasant experience or just because it is visually stimulating.
His goal in the creation of a fine print is to be resourceful in conveying the true nature of his own vision as he is at being rigorous and precise in the use of his technical skills. His challenge in photography is to interpret what he see and decide how to present that view in black and white. The technical choices that he make convey his own personal vision and the manner of how he perceive the scene. Ed make the decisions for the people who will eventually look at that scene through his images. This results in his personal vision of the scene before him.
Ed is a juried member of the New Hampshire Art Association and a past member of the board of directors.
Diane is a trained watercolor painter and fine art color photographer. Her training as a painter has given her an apprication of color. The time of day makes all the difference in a fine photograph. Capturing the warm light and shadows at sunrise or sunset is very important in her photographs.
She has over 20 years as a photographer. Diane is also a juried member of the New Hampshire Art Association. Diane has traveled to different parts of the world to photograph her images. The images are printed using archival color pigments inks on 100 % cotton rag paper to produce the Fine Art Giclee print.
Diane and Ed have traveled to many different parts of the world to capture our view of its beauty in both black and white and color.
